Welcome!!
Thanks for checking out my blog! This is where you will have the opportunity to join me as I will be sharing thoughts, experiences, dreams, and struggles. My hope is that you would join me in a “conversation” of sorts by staying in touch with me through email and comments. None of us are meant to walk this journey alone, so I hope you would be encouraged by what you find here and also encourage me by staying in touch!

Lloyd Kaputula
Since arriving back from the remote village of Kangwali where we lived for 3 1/2 weeks, I've had the chance (and great honor!) of helping Lloyd out at his restaurant in the market in Mongu. He cooks and sells local Zambian fare from anywhere between $1 & $2 USD. While we were in the bush, it was the money-making time of year when many Zambians are able to make a surplus of money so that they can barely scrape by the rest of the year.
Lloyd was sacrificing quite a bit to leave his business behind for 3 1/2 weeks. Though his two employees would be left to run things, Lloyd was the only one who really knew his business and his customers. It was quite a step of faith for this city boy who is not altogether used to the African bush and its hardships.
So, when we returned he was only a little anxious about his business, which may have suffered a bit during his absence. However, he arrived to find that his two employees had been stealing from him and no longer cared to show up at work. It was a demoralizing blow.
During these past few weeks, it's the money-making season and he usually makes a daily profit of $15 - $20. I plan on helping him recover some of his lost profit that will sustain him the rest of the year. He is one of the best men I know, and I consider it a privilege to invest my time and resources to support him.
If you would like to support this man who was willing to leave his business behind to dedicate himself to sharing the good news with unreached people groups in his own backyard, then feel free to go to the "Financial Support" page linked up above! Only 20 people donating $15-20 will recover the profits that Lloyd would have made to provide for himself and his family the rest of the year!
